Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 — Effective April 10, 2026

Plain-English summary: We only collect what you voluntarily give us. We use it solely to organize advocacy on your behalf. We never sell or share it. You can request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

1. Who We Are

The VA Foreclosure Action Kit is operated by Leann Ledford (Campaign Lead, MSW Graduate Student & Veteran Advocate) and Millennium Ventures Foundation (technical infrastructure). The site is accessible at vaforeclosureaction.org.

2. What We Collect

We collect two categories of information:

A. Voluntarily submitted registry information

When you complete the "Register Your Case" form, you may provide: your full name, email address, phone number, state, city, ZIP code, mortgage servicer name, foreclosure status, and an optional personal statement. All fields except your name are optional. You must check a consent checkbox to submit.

B. Automatically collected analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Plausible Analytics to collect anonymous page-view data: page URL, approximate geographic region, browser type, and session duration. No form field contents are captured by analytics tools. No personally identifiable information is transmitted to analytics providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Registry information is used exclusively for:

  • Organizing collective advocacy action on behalf of affected veterans
  • Routing your case to the correct Congressional district for follow-up
  • Sending you a confirmation email and future campaign updates (if you provided an email)
  • Generating aggregate, anonymized statistics (e.g., "veterans in 12 states have registered") for public advocacy materials

4. Who Has Access to Your Data

Access to the registry is restricted to exactly two named administrators:

Leann Ledford

Campaign Lead

Millennium Ventures Foundation

Technical Infrastructure

No other individual, organization, law firm, media outlet, Congressional office, or government agency will receive your personally identifiable information without your explicit, separate written consent.

5. Data Security

Registry submissions are stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database hosted on Manus infrastructure. The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Database access requires authenticated credentials held only by the two named administrators.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion — request complete removal of your record from the registry
  • Withdrawal of consent — opt out of future communications at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within 5 business days.

7. Cookies

The site uses cookies for analytics (GA4, Plausible) and session management for authenticated administrators. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the version number and effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the registry after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
